Join the PTA!
The purpose of the PTA is to support the faculty, staff, parents, and most importantly our students. In order for us to be successful, we need the support and involvement of our families, faculty, and staff. We hope you decide to join the PTA again this year and support the many programs that
enrich our Flint Hill students’ experiences.To join the FHES PTA, please visit the PTA website  and click on JOIN. PTA membership
is $20 per family, and you must join the PTA each school year. Join before September 15th and you will receive a newly designed FHES car magnet!  When you join the PTA, you can also make a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of Flint Hill fundraiser.  All proceeds support PTA Programs that benefit your students!If you have questions, contact Mimi Tom at membership@fhespta.org  or Sarah Speer at fhesfundraising@gmail.com

Join the Fun! Join Cub Scouting!

Now is the time to join the fun and excitement of Cub Scouting – part of the Boy Scouts of America.  Designed for boys in the first through fifth grades, Cub Scouting combines outdoor activities, sports, academics, and more in a fun and exciting program that helps families teach values such as honesty, good citizenship, and respect.  Pack 987 holds open registration for new and returning members at the first Pack meeting on Thursday, September 14th, in the FHES cafeteria at 6:30pm.  For more information on Pack 987 visit www.pack987.org or email the Cubmaster at cubmaster@pack987.org.

FHES Snack Donation Program

Welcome back, families! For anyone interested in making a donation, we are currently collecting individually packaged nut free snacks to distribute to our FHES students in need.  If you would like to donate, please  send items to Mrs. Williams via the main office.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Williams at aywilliams1@fcps.edu.

Reflections Contest

Reflections is back for another year and we love to see what students come up with! Reflections is a nationwide program for promoting the arts while encouraging students to use artistic ways to express themselves.

The theme this year is “Within Reach.”  Artwork can include a variety of different mediums such as dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography or visual arts.

Entries will be due in the fall, so there is plenty of time to participate.  Any grade and any ability can participate in Reflections. Information can be found HERE or by contacting the chair, Jessica Snow at vice_president@fhespta.org with any questions.

Flint Hill Copying and Trimming – Volunteers Needed!!

We are a multi-tasking group, tackling jobs to help free up a little bit of teachers’ time by
helping with copying and lamination trimming. This is a great way to support our teachers and let them keep their focus on kids and learning!You may sign up for as many spots as you would like (once a week, once a month, etc.), whatever works for your schedule. Training will be held for new volunteers as well as for those who need a quick refresher.Interested? E-mail Frances Ellis at fwellis@aol.com.

Fall After School Programs

The PTA After school Programs will be returning this Fall!  The Fall 2017 catalog can be found on the PTA website, www.fhespta.org.  The fall session will start the first week in October and run through January.

Registration will begin on Monday, September 11, at 10am.  To register, visit www.pay4schoolstuff.com directly, or through a link on the PTA website.  All registration instructions can be found in the catalog or on the PTA website.  Please note that some classes fill very quickly, so please do not delay in registering!

Registration will end on Wednesday, September 20, at 11:45am.
