You Can Still Join the PTA and Get a New Car Magnet!

In addition to the magnet, PTA members receive access to the FHES online directory and support the many programs that enrich the lives of our Flint Hill students.

To join the FHES PTA, please visit the PTA website  and click on JOIN. PTA membership is $20 per family*, and you must join the PTA each school year.  When you join the PTA on the Pay 4 School Stuff site, you can also make a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of Flint Hill fundraiser.  All proceeds support PTA Programs that benefit your students!

If you have questions, contact Mimi Tom at membership@fhespta.org  or Sarah Speer at fhesfundraising@gmail.com.

Flint Hill Survey on Parent Programming

Parents, we are excited to hear what kind of parent programs you would like to see at Flint Hill.  Please take a moment to click on the link below and share your thoughts.  Mrs. Williams and Ms. Lipton will use this  information to help plan parent programs for the 2017-2018 school year.  We are eager to get your feedback!

New Family Orientation Meeting

If you are a new family to FHES, don’t worry about missing an important date or wonder who to call to have your questions answered.  Laura McMoil and Gizelle Gorkowski can remind you about events such as Bingo Night or Show What You Know, or answer questions about yearbook or picture day.

We are having a “New Families” meeting on 9/28/17 @ 9:00 am in the Courtyard. We would love for you to join us!

Box Tops for Education at Flint Hill – First Collection Date is Friday, October 13!

Clipping Box Tops is a fun and easy way to help the PTA raise money for Flint Hill Elementary!  Our first collection date is coming up fast on Friday, October 13th. Simply clip the pink Box Tops on hundreds of your favorite items (including General Mills cereals, Nature Valley granola, Annie’s Organic products, Ziploc, and Hefty to name just a few), deposit them in the collection box in the school lobby, and watch them turn into real cash for our school! We ask that Box Tops and bonus Box Tops certificates be returned to us in baggies or envelopes labeled with the names of the student and their teacher, and the number of Box Tops included. Remember, expired Box Tops cannot be redeemed so please make sure to turn your Box Tops in by each collection date!

For more information on the Box Tops for Education program, including a list of participating products and our school’s progress, visit www.BTFE.com. Be sure to become a member to receive exclusive coupon offers, recipes, and to learn about extra ways for our school to earn. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Elsa Polo at webmaster@fhespta.org. Let’s make our school’s Box Tops for Education program a huge success this year. Thanks for your help!

We are excited to announce that FHES will once again be partnering with Food for Others to donate the excess food in the cafeteria.  If you would like to sign up for a slot to help with donations or learn more information about the program please click on the link below.

Thank you to everyone for all of your help in making this program a success.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Williams at aywilliams1@fcps.edu.

FHES Snack Donation Program

Welcome back, families! For anyone interested in making a donation, we are currently collecting individually packaged nut free snacks to distribute to our FHES students in need.  If you would like to donate, please  send items to Mrs. Williams via the main office.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Williams at aywilliams1@fcps.edu.

Reflections Contest

Reflections is back for another year and we love to see what students come up with! Reflections is a nationwide program for promoting the arts while encouraging students to use artistic ways to express themselves.

The theme this year is “Within Reach.”  Artwork can include a variety of different mediums such as dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography or visual arts.

Entries will be due Friday, October 20th, so there is plenty of time to participate.  Any grade and any ability can participate in Reflections.

Information can be found HERE or by contacting the chair, Jessica Snow at vice_president@fhespta.org with any questions.

****If parents have experience in one of the art areas above and would like to be a judge,
please reach out!
