PTA Volunteer Ice Cream Party
Each year, we like to thank all the volunteers that help make Flint Hill a great community for families, students, and teachers!  We invite you to the annual PTAVolunteer Ice Cream Party on June 7th, immediately after school at the basketball court.  Please RSVP to the event by clicking HERE.

Thank you for all you do!

April is Autism Awareness Month

Autism is a general term used to describe a group of complex developmental brain disorders-autism spectrum disorders-caused by a combination of genes and environmental influences.  These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by communication difficulties, social and behavioral challenges, as well as repetitive behaviors.  While every country’s statistics differ, it is estimated that one in 68 children in the U.S. is on the autism spectrum-a 123% increase in eight years that is only partly explained by improved diagnosis.  Click HERE for more information.

At Flint Hill, we will bring awareness to Autism with a day of recognition on Friday, April 27th.  The students and staff are all being asked to wear sports team gear as we are all a part of the team here at Flint Hill ES.  Additionally, our classrooms will continue to focus on celebrating our differences and the things that make us unique, as well as showing empathy to others, by participating in various activities throughout the day.

Volunteers for Committees for 2018-2019 School Year

There are several open PTA committees open for the 2018-2019 school year listed below.  If you have an hour a week, one day a week, or a few days a month to help out, please reach out to Jessica Snow or reply to this email.  Several of these committees may cease exist if we do not have parent volunteers to keep them up and running.

If you are looking to be a part of the PTA Board for the 2018-2019 school year, be on the look out for the Call for Nominations!
