Earn Money for Flint Hill with Box Tops!
Please clip UNEXPIRED small pink Box Tops and place in a bag or envelope and deposit in the collection box located in the lobby by Feb. 8.  Please note your child’s name, teacher’s name and the number of Box Tops included.
Box Tops can be found on hundreds of your favorite items, including General Mills cereals, Nature Valley granola, Annie’s Organic products, Ziploc, Kleenex, Cottonelle, Motts applesauce, Lysol and Hefty.

Find Valentine’s Gifts with ANY of Your Children’s Artwork on Artsonia
Artsonia is an exciting online digital art gallery that provides parents with access to their student’s artwork throughout the year.  Most students should have Valentine’s Day art now posted.  Artwork from home can also be posted and keepsakes can be purchased (with quick delivery!) with any of this art– coasters, phone cases, ceramic tiles, jewelry, cards and more.  Flint Hill earns 20% off each order!

For your child to participate in Artsonia, you first need to grant permission for the school to provide your email to Artsonia by using this online form.  After you have granted permission, you will receive an email from Artsonia to activate your child’s account.  Once the account is activated, parents can start viewing artwork as it is posted, share it with family and friends and order products!
If you have not received an email that you child has artwork on Artsonia, you may not have activated your account.  Also, some students in the higher grades may not have as much artwork posted yet because they have been working on more time-consuming projects such as sculptures and pottery that don’t lend themselves to photography as well.  We could also use some parent volunteers to help post artwork onto Artsonia.  If you would like to help with posting artwork online, please contact Sarah Speer at FHESFundraising@gmail.com.

Show What You Know – February 20th

Save the Date: The annual Show What You Know Expo will be on Wednesday, February 20th.  Keep your eye out for registration.  Details on the PTA website will be updated soon

Online Safety Workshop – February Parent Program on Wednesday, February 6, at 7pm

Please join us on Wednesday, February 6, at 7 pm, in the Flint Hill Library for our parent program, Practical Advice for Parenting in the Digital Age (For Elementary Aged Kids).  We are pleased to have Denise DeRosa, founder of Cyber Sensible (https://www.cyber-sensible.com), conduct this online safety workshop.

Program Description:

Parents today face an enormous challenge as we raise kids who are more tech savvy and comfortable using digital communications and social media than we are. There has been a fundamental shift in the way kids communicate today that previous generations of parents have not had to cope with. The good news is that you do not need to be a tech expert to parent effectively and keep your kids safe online. I’ll provide key tips and actionable advice to help parents manage tech use in their home. You will get step-by-step instruction on privacy and safety settings across popular mobile devices, apps, browsers, games and search engines. I offer advice and strategies on encouraging healthy tech habits and raising kids who are able to use technology in meaningful, creative and positive ways.

In case you cannot join us, this program will be livestreamed on our PTA Facebook site.  However, we do hope you can join us in person because Denise wants to address your questions and concerns!  If you have any questions, please e-mail Gayle Schlueter at fhespres@gmail.com.

Snack Donation Program

We are in need of individual nut free snack donations (ex:  goldfish, pretzels, granola bars) for our snack pantry.  If you are willing and able to donate a box of snacks, we would be so grateful!  All donations can be sent to Mrs. Williams attention in the main office.  Thank you for all you do to help support ALL of our Flint Hill students!
