Show What You Know – POSTPONED to Thursday, March 28th!
Due to the many weather-related days off, delays, and early releases so far this winter, the PTA has postponed Show What You Know from its original February 20th date to THURSDAY, MARCH 28th.   Hopefully this extra time will encourage more of our Flint Hill students to participate in this fun event.  We apologize for any inconvenience this causes your student and family, but after reviewing our February calendar, we made the decision to give the school, our teachers, and our families a chance to take a breath!
Classes will attend the Expo throughout the day on Thursday, March 28th.  Family and friends are invited to view the projects from 6-8pm during the evening of March 28th.

Please register HERE.  Project ideas and detailed information can be found through the PTA website or contact Susannah Cretal at swykexpo@gmail.com.

Does your child love Fortnite? Unicorns? Lacrosse? Dance? Art projects to share? We invite all of our students to show off what they know at Flint Hill’s Show What You Know. SWYK is Flint Hill’s annual learning fair where all K-6 students are encouraged to share your knowledge and interests with the Flint Hill community. PBL’s (Project Based Learning projects) done at school are welcome! Students can work alone or with a partner.

Please note that this is NOT a science fair (even though science experiments are welcome!). Projects will not be judged – this is an information-sharing event only. So, grab a tri-fold board, put some information together on your favorite topic (photos, drawings, etc), and VOILA! – you are ready for Show What You Know!!

Read-A-Thon Update

Calling All Readers!… Together, readers have read almost 70,000 minutes. We still need our readers to read at least 130,000 minutes to meet our Principal Challenge.  Are our readers up for the challenge? Keep reading, Flint Hill!

If your student has not created a reader page and would like to join the Read-A-Thon, it’s not too late! Your student’s secret code can still be added by visiting
https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/enter_code_m Please contact Melissa Molivadas (mmolivadas@gmail.com) to request your student’s secret code or a paper reading packet. Students do not need to collect donations to participate.

We have raised $8,000 and are well on our way to meeting our goal of raising $10,000 for FHES! Thank you for supporting our school and for sharing our Read-A-Thon with family and friends.

Thank you more importantly for encouraging your student(s) to “Open a book…and Let Your Imagination Run Wild!”

The Read-A-Thon will end on Friday, March 1.

Girls on the Run is returning to Flint Hill Elementary!

GOTR is a physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-6th grade. The program teaches life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games.
